BEI has been providing quality multicultural education to individuals, groups and government service programs in the Houston area for more than twenty five years. Language Training • Recent contracts with Fortune 100 Companies • Contracts with major Houston companies in the areas of oil and gas, hotel and manufacturing. • Collaboration with the Houston Area Contractors Safety Council to create a manual for English Safety Vocabulary for Industrial Workers. • Recent contract as part of a 21st Century Grant for a local HISD school to provide after-school conversational English programs.
Government Sponsored Language/Vocational Training • BEI was selected by the Texas Rehabilitation Commission for English and Spanish language training for eligible students. • BEI is the lead agency in the provision of educational services for eligible refugees in Harris County. • BEI’s role, as part of a five member consortium, is to provide an ESL program and cultural orientation workshops under a grant from the Texas Department of Human Services (TDHS).
